TV, Filming & Production
Over the years Tarka has developed a love of filming (both of his own journeys and those of others) and he has become a proficient cameraman uniquely skilled in extremely hostile circumstances, temperatures and conditions. He has filmed a number of high altitude (+6000m) and polar expeditions both as an expedition member and as an inderpendent cameraman where temperatures have been as low as -50°C (-80°C with wind-chill).

Guiding & Expedition Logistics
Often in conjunction with filming, Tarka is available to guides polar expeditions. He has spent considerable time training, leading and shadowing teams in extreme environments making sure they are both safe and logistically fluid. Guiding is often a bespoke service and is available whether you are looking at a last degree, a full crossing or something more unique.

Presenting
Their skills, knowledge, experience and above all passion, for adventure, sports and travel has moved them rapidly in to the world of presenting. Sharing their feelings with a camera whilst battling treacherous conditions is seemingly becoming part of daily life, and they are currently working on four documentary/short films, both as a pair and singularly.

Modeling & Advertising
Katie-Jane has a wealth of modeling experience working in the industry for over 14 years. Whether it’s for an advertising campaign, editorial or a catalogue, companies within the adventure sports market are becoming increasingly aware that the customer wants to see products modeled by, or in situations where the model can actually ‘do’ the sport they are promoting. This has led to a demand in the ‘all action hero’ such as Tarka, who despite not having a background in modeling, has such an extensive area of skills within adventure sports, that they are ideal for advertising.

Product Testing
Primal Journey has been part of the design and development stage of products, as well as rigorously testing them on expeditions since 2004. Following the study of ‘Product Engineering’ at Brunel University and ‘Sports Technology Engineering’ at the University of Bath, they began practical testing of equipment in remote regions throughout the globe in both training and expeditions. They now proudly work with some of the worlds leading outdoor equipment manufacturers helping them develop and test cutting edge designs.
